The School will be open to 35 qualified and selected PhD students/researchers.

Registration fee for postdoc or other researchers: 350 € VAT 22% included
The fee covers all lectures; course material; wi-fi connection; welcome cocktail (on Sept. 9th) lunches and coffee breaks (Sept. 10th – 14th) and social dinner.

Prospective participants have to fill out and submit the form below, and upload a short CV (1 page, plus a list of publications). Please upload only one file as a pdf.

The main selection criteria will be based on the coherence of the CV with the aim and scope of the school; preference will be given to younger applicants.

Also, the presentation of scientific work as a poster will be considered in the selection process.

The uploaded abstract should be a pdf file (maximum 500 words).

Poster size: no more than 90 cm wide and 180 cm high.

Upon request and based on the available funds, a financial support covering the registration fee will be granted to selected PhD students. Those asking for a financial support should also provide a reference letter, which should be sent by the author directly to

Registration fee does not include the accommodation costs. Accommodation has to be booked separately (see the accommodation page for details).

However, a limited number of shared rooms (2- or 4-bed rooms) will be available at the guest house of Villa del Grumello. The rate is 33 euros per night (breakfast not included; a kitchen for self-preparing breakfast is available). Please notice that only shared accommodation with other students is allowed (no accompanying persons). The rooms will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Those interested, have to select this choice in the accommodation page.

The School welcomes international participants from around the world. Some non-UE applicants might need to obtain an entry visa to come to Italy.
